It goes without saying that the aussies will push England to the very limits and none more so that Aussie captiain Ricky Ponting, this 34 year old who plays for Tasmania has appeared in 131 test matches and scored 10960 runs for his country against England he has played in 26 test and scored 1978 runs. Michael Clarke another Aussie batsman who plays for New South Wales has managed in 10 tests against England to score 724 runs. Aussie fast bowler Brett Lee another New South Wales player has managed to take 62 wickets against England in 18 tests. Phillip Hughes Australia's youngest player and opening batsman plays for New South Wales despite having only played in 3 test matches he has managed to hit 415 runs. Fellow opening bat Simon Katich also playes for New South Wales he has a wealth of experience has do most of the aussie team in 6 test against England he has scored 263 runs. The two middle order batsmen both play for Western Australia Michael Hussey has played in 34 test while his team mate Marcus North has only played two test matches. Shane Watson is another New South Wales player an allrounder with plenty of experience. Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin plays for Western Australia and has played in 15 test matches.

Ben Hilfenhaus a 26 year old fast bowler who plays for Tasmania, Graham Manou 30 year old Wicket Keeper who plays for South Australia, Andrew McDonald a 28 year old all rounder plays for Victoria limit test experience.
